Early every morning, young school children in South Africa travel long distances to reach school, often without eating breakfast first. The ZARoyance Feeding Scheme, founded by Duduza R.A. (Ngwenya) Khosana in January 2017, runs a feeding scheme for primary schools in Atteridgeville and Diepsloot, South Africa. They wanted to ensure the children received nutritious food, which is why their breakfast program feeds 900 children e’Pap every morning before class, which gives the energy and focus they need to achieve their best possible academic performance.
It has helped these children improve their nutritional statuses, and by ensuring they wash their own utensils and bowls, teaches them responsibility and the importance of finishing the food on their plates.
